1. Overview

zkit is a Chrome/Edge browser extension that provides AI-powered chat summarization and message export for Zalo Web (chat.zalo.me). We are committed to protecting your privacy.

2. Data We Collect

We do not collect, store, or transmit any personal data.

• Chat messages: Read only from the visible DOM on your screen. Messages are sent to the AI API solely for summarization, then discarded. Nothing is stored on our servers.
• Settings: API URL, model name, and API key are stored locally in your browser (chrome.storage.local). Never sent to us.
• No tracking: No analytics, no cookies, no fingerprinting, no telemetry.

3. Data Processing

When you use the "Summarize" feature:

• Chat messages visible on your screen are extracted from the Zalo Web DOM
• Messages are sent to your configured AI API endpoint (default: ai.vnai.dev) via HTTPS
• The AI generates a summary which is displayed in the extension
• No messages are stored after the request completes

4. Data Export

CSV, JSON, and PDF exports are generated entirely in your browser. No data leaves your device during export — files are saved directly to your computer.

5. Permissions

• chat.zalo.me: Required to read chat messages and inject the context menu
• ai.vnai.dev: Required to send messages to the AI API for summarization
• storage: Required to save your settings locally
• scripting: Required to access Zalo's chat history loading function

6. Third-Party Services

The extension communicates with vnai.dev AI API for chat summarization. You may also configure your own API endpoint. We recommend reviewing the privacy policy of any third-party API you choose to use.

7. Security

• All API communication uses HTTPS encryption
• API keys are stored locally and never shared
• No Zalo credentials are accessed or stored
• The extension only reads data you can already see on your screen

8. Children's Privacy

This extension is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

9. Changes

We may update this policy. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date.
